MINNEAPOLIS, MN - The Minneapolis mayoral race has escalated into a national hotspot after House Majority Whip Tom Emmer (R-MN) issued a fiery warning about state senator Omar Fateh’s candidacy, labeling it a referendum on socialism, immigration, and the city’s political future.
Emmer, the highest-ranking Republican in Minnesota and the third-ranking Republican in Congress, rejected Fateh’s promise to shield undocumented immigrants from federal enforcement, branding the Democratic Socialist’s platform as dangerous for both Minneapolis and the state.
“As if Omar Fateh’s radical, communist agenda wasn’t enough, he’s now vowing to prioritize illegal aliens over the people of Minneapolis,” Emmer said. “The Trump administration just recently got 11 illegal alien sex offenders off the streets of the city, yet Fateh seems more concerned with protecting these criminals than helping Minnesotans.”
