CHICAGO, IL — In continued legal resistance to current federal administration initiatives, Rhode Island Attorney General Peter Neronha will join fellow Democratic attorneys general in Chicago this Tuesday night for an important town-hall meeting. The event is being held to engage local residents and refine litigation strategies as part of a coordinated effort opposing President Trump’s executive actions and federal funding policies.

Neronha, a key member of a coalition defending the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau from being dismantled, has headed over 31 lawsuits against the Trump administration since January, This includes more than a dozen filed in federal court in Rhode Island alone. His legal challenges include fighting proposals to end birthright citizenship, stopping disaster relief, preventing massive education, and healthcare funding cuts, and the proposed defunding of Planned Parenthood in Trump’s so-called “Big Beautiful Bill.”
